Important Notice to AICA Members

We are pleased to announce that we have recently negotiated with our underwriters to provide the following additional coverage to AICA members:

   An automatic six year extended reporting period when a Chartered Accountant
   retires, terminates their practice or dies.

This extension of coverage is currently available to all sole practitioners and will become available to all firms renewing after April 1^st, 2010.

Recently, our master policy wording has been compared with other insurance products available in the market place and we believe that both our wording and our claims personnel comprised of Lawyers and Chartered Accountants is superior to any other product. However; if there is an extension of coverage you would like added to your policy, please contact our office so that we can discuss making the necessary amendment. AICA Services Inc. has been insuring CA's for the last twenty years and takes pride in the fact that we are able to tailor your policy to meet your specific needs.

The insurance market has become particularly unstable over the past year with many long term insurers exiting the marketplace and some new, inexperienced participants entering the marketplace. In the past, these new participants have exited the marketplace as quickly as they entered, creating instability for members who chose to place their errors and omissions insurance with a new carrier.

Our goal is to provide a stable insurance program for Chartered Accountants, with a consistent, sensible approach to addressing your professional liability insurance needs. As you know, AICA Services Inc. is owned by the CA profession and was established to provide members with access to insurance at a reasonable cost through the various cycles in the conventional insurance market.
